Medical review process
Articles that touch on diagnosis, treatment, dosing, or chronic disease management are reviewed by a credentialed clinician before publication.
What gets reviewed
The following content categories require clinical review before they go live:
- Symptoms, screening, and early-warning posts (cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, mental health).
- Medication, supplement, and dosing guidance.
- Chronic disease management content (hypertension, cholesterol, autoimmune conditions, etc.).
- Pregnancy, postpartum, pediatric, and geriatric-specific content.
Who reviews
Reviewers are licensed clinicians (MD, DO, RD, RN, NP, PA, PharmD, or equivalent) practicing in the relevant field. Each reviewed article carries the reviewer's name, credential, and review date in the byline.
What reviewers check
- That the medical claims are consistent with current guidelines.
- That doses, timings, and ranges are accurate and safe.
- That risk groups and contraindications are mentioned where appropriate.
- That the article does not encourage readers to delay or avoid professional care.
Limitations
Clinical review confirms that an article is consistent with mainstream evidence at the time of review. It is not personalized medical advice. See our medical disclaimer.
